When can I expect Kung Pao peppers to ripen?
I bought the peppers as a started plant, though there were only the tiniest peppers on it when I bought it less than a month ago. Now I have nine peppers that are over 4 inches long, and a few that are on their way to that length, not to mention many blossoms. However, they are all dark green. I know I read somewhere that they shouldn't be harvested until they are red. I have another hot pepper plant--don't know the variety-- but the peppers on that one start out purple and turn red. That plant has had red ones on it for a long time now, so I thought that these Kung Paos would follow suit. Doesn't seem to be the case, though.
Any advice, anyone?
