Looking for a good place for brunch on Sunday July 21--key factors: quiet atmosphere and good food with a light touch (stacks of waffles and hash browns will not be consumed). Won't be going to Carlo's either. Coming over from NYC on the PATH so southern end of Washington St. is ideal but of course we're willing to walk.

      1. Third vote for Amanda's

        1. I haven't been there for brunch, but I was going to say check out Amanda's...and if they offer it, give it a shot...because Amanda's is excellent.

          1. I also enjoy brunch at La Isla but they don't take reservations and the space is tiny and its BYO

Heard some good things about La Isla. Have never been but it's one of those places I've wanted to get to. Thanks.

La Isla is one of my favorite places, we mostly do dinner there or have it delivered. He was on an episode of Bobby Flays show so the place got even busier. They had a stuffed French Toast showdown

            2. +1 for Amanda's. (I think you're up to 5 votes for Amanda's now.)

              1. Just made the rez at Amanda's. It looks awesome. Thanks everyone :-)

                  Enjoy!

                2. Amanda's hands down. Great food, beautiful space, nice service. Everything you seem to be looking for.
The only drawback is it is closer to the north end of Washington, but the walk is easy.
