I am trying to find a fun place for Daughter's 21st- tried Hot n Hot but they only do larger groups at 5:30 and 8:15- we have 8 I think.... asked her about Ocean-anywhere else you can think of? good food and good drinks- NOT Highlands...she is doing something with friends on actual birthday so this is 2 days later...

Hmm, I don't know if I would consider Ocean "fun" necessarily, but it IS delicious & chic! If the purpose of the evening is to be at a trendy locale with great food, I recommend Bottega Cafe. If you want something a little hipper (but just as delicious), then try El Barrio in the downtown loft district. The chorizo meatloaf and grapefruit margarita are swoon-worthy! Having said that though, it's a small place so you'd have to go early if you don't want to wait.

Both of those are fun Sheila (welcome back!) but I do not think either takes reservations?

8 is pushing it on size but she might like Bettola and you could always take her to Hop City beforehand to try out a few sample craft beers (served in 3 oz pourings). I would say Vittoria but they don't look like they do large groups and would not take reservations for parties greater than 4 when I tried a few weeks back.

We recently suggested Dupont to some friends for graduation and they really liked it. I haveonly been once.

Maybe try open table for your group size and requested time and go from there?

I highly recommend the lobster pot pie. I know that it's more of a cool/cold season comfort food, but it's awesome!!
