How is the restaurant Home in the Meatpacking part of Manhattan. Made a reservation for my wife and I and our 2 adult children for Sunday dinner. Don't know much about the restaurant. Good place for a nice meal? Thanks for any thoughts.
I'm not familiar with a Home restaurant in Meatpacking. Are you referring to Home on Cornelia Street in the West Village?
If so, it is fine, non-offensive food. With so many other great options in the neighborhood (or even on that street—Pearl, Wong, even neighboring Le Gigot, I wouldn't make a special trip if I was visiting from somewhere else or entertaining guests.
Honest wouldn't be my first pick, food is "heavy" for hot weather- fine, but expensive for what it is. Buvette (french, "cozy")or blue ribbon bakery (a bit more expensive very foodie kind of menu) would be my top suggestions with better food....
