Birthday dinner location

schrutefarms Jul 12, 2013 07:54 AM

Here's the specifics...
about 15 people
no sit down; prefer maybe a large, high table that people can sit at stools or stand so guests can walk around and chat with each other
going from around 8 or 9 to 11 or 12
more of a bar or lounge atmosphere rather than restaurant
hip but casual

Thanks ya'll!

I wonder if Cleo http://www.cleorestaurant.com/ would work for what you are envisioning? Probably worth checking with them and see what they could work out for you.

It's actually for a friend, not me, because Cleo was the first place I suggested! LOVE that place! But she vetoed it on the grounds that it's too expensive and too much of a restaurant.

The Abbey in West Hollywood is fun, mixes good drinks and has good food (for a bar). Just go on the earlier side because once it gets really busy forget trying to find a place to sit and eat
