Someone mentioned a place in Little Italy, but I can't remember the name of it.

Thanks,

Crazy Johns down on the block (seriously)

In my area of the city, my favorite is Jerry Carryout on North Ave. The onions are small dice and the griddle is hot, which produces a pretty good steak and cheese. Nino's, Oriole Pizza, and University Market are good, too.

I always skip the lettuce and tomato that seems to come on every steak and cheese in Baltimore. Wilted, watery lettuce and mealy tomato -- no thanks.

I like the small diced fried onion thing. Annie's Dairy Bar in Glen Burnie does that.

Di Pasquale's in Highlandtown/Canton area has a good cheese steak.
