I'm wondering if there's a consensus about the best pancakes in the Triangle?

I'm a bit surprised that no one responded to this. No people out there passionate about their pancakes? As for me, they all pretty much taste the same, and I much prefer waffles anyway. Breadman's in Chapel Hill perhaps? Or Elmo's in Durham?

It depends on what you prefer. I personally prefer my pancakes a little on the thinner side, but here we have a lot of the bigger than your head 1 inch thick ones. Pam's Farmhouse has those thick ones, and Big Ed's downtown.

I haven't really found pancakes that I like here. But my breakfasting happens in the Raleigh area. Elmo's has pretty good everything.

        This thread should help.
