In search of Mexican bakery (Cleveland)

pete k Jul 9, 2013 02:33 PM

All,

I'm searching for a bakery in the Cleveland area that can make a tres leches cake. Preferably a location closer to the Beachwood area, but I'm willing to drive if need be.

Thanks in advance...

Maybe Borincana -but you will have to come west for this one.

      I would check 2 places:

La Plaza Supermarket in Lakewood (216) 476-8000 talk to their bakery department

      Mi Pueblo (216) 791-8226

        Thanks for the all recs.
Mi Pueblo seems expensive and on the small side for $45 a
cake. I will keep them on the list.

Anyone familiar with Bonbon Pastry and Cafe?
        What about Puerto Rican markets?

          thank you for the recs.
we ended up getting a large tres leches cake from la plaza for $46 including tax.
the cake was fantastic, friendly people, and a very clean store.
          we loved it.

Thanks for the report! I don't go often, but I agree that La Plaza is very clean and very neat. Now, if I only knew what all of the ingredients were, so much the better!

          I think Colozza's does them: www.colozzasbakery.com
