Quiet coffee/snacks/dessert places near Cineplex that are open late

The other night we wanted to go out for snacks, coffee and dessert after a movie at the Cineplex (at around 9 pm). We couldn't find any place that wasn;t too noisy. (We tried Cacao a couple of blocks east on Ste. Catherine but it was unbelievably noisy--impossible to hear anyone at your table. We don't like Starbucks and go to Pekarna too often). Can anyone recommend anywhere quiet where we can have a snack, dessert and coffee walking distance from the Cineplex?

Thanks. Good suggestion. Any places that are more walkable to?

Cineplex now, AMC is long gone. Where is Cine Express?

Java U at the corner of Wood and Sainte Catherine
Cafe Sufi Fort & de Maisonneuve
And if you're willing to venture to Concordia, there's Myriade or down the hill Café Saint-Henri.

Myriade unfortunately closes early in the evening (6ish-7 IIRC), unless of course they've recently changed their hours.

Kafein on Bishop is also open late on Saturdays
                http://kafein.ca/

Despite their listed hours, it does close early sometimes so you should call ahead

There was Un Espresso at 1443 Lambert Closse just north on Ste. Catherines. Haven't been in a while, still shows up on google streetview.

Thanks. Never open at night. It's too bad the new residence place on Ste. Catherines has a Starbucks in there instead of something local. But maybe with Adonis opening there as well the area will attract something more local.
