I've just read on another DFW food forum that someone was telling them about Guyanese cuisine. It's a mixture of Chinese, Caribbean, and Indian.
Sounds wonderful to me as I love all these types of foods!
Has anyone ever had this type of cuisine? How was your experience? Know of any places in the DFW area that offers any type of Guyanese food? I'd love to try it.
Caribbean food has a heavy Indian and Chinese influence- hence curries, roti, etc... In Trinidad, they even have their own Trini Chinese food kinda like we have here. Guayanese food might have a few minor distinctions in terms of spicing but is generally very similar to other Caribbean cooking. If I put curry chicken in front of you from a Trini place, a Jamaican one, and a Guayanese one, you wouldn't notice a huge difference.
