northbay chowhound advice needed - I am a big fan of picking up a rotisserie chicken at the beginning of the week to have around for quick, easy dinners and lunches. love sol food's version but its very pricey and comes with no sides. any suggestions? would be nice to have a hormone free, naturalish bird but am open to all ideas...thanks in advance!

  1. Have you tried Giro Polli in Mill Valley. Not sure of the provenance of the chickens, but they have a wood-fired rotisserie oven.

The Roli Roti trucks are at various farmer's markets during the week. Their whole chickens were $13.00 last time I picked one up. They do use local and natural birds. The only side dish available is roasted potatoes, which cost extra.

    1. I like the ones from Whole Foods as well as the ones from Paradise that they sell from their barbeque stand out front.
