L'Angolo or Victor's Cafe?

Some out of town friends are coming to Philadelphia in a few weeks. This will not be the only time they will ever be here, so they will have another chance to experience the opera singing at Victor's. When I read reviews of Victor's, it is hard to determine how good the food is because people seem to be captivated by the "entertainment" there. I would like the opinion of those of you on the board as to which restaurant provides a more interesting, better cooked meal.

  1. Been a while since I've been to either, but food at L'Angolo in my experience is much better. I don't think either provide an "interesting" meal though, it's pretty typical South Philly Italian at both.

    1. The food at Victor Cafe is totally forgettable, standard-issue Italian American food that you can get at any number of other, better places. L'Angolo is much better.

      1. Food is better at L'Angolo. Atmosphere and experience better at Victor Cafe.
