L'Angolo or Victor's Cafe?
Some out of town friends are coming to Philadelphia in a few weeks. This will not be the only time they will ever be here, so they will have another chance to experience the opera singing at Victor's. When I read reviews of Victor's, it is hard to determine how good the food is because people seem to be captivated by the "entertainment" there. I would like the opinion of those of you on the board as to which restaurant provides a more interesting, better cooked meal.
Been a while since I've been to either, but food at L'Angolo in my experience is much better. I don't think either provide an "interesting" meal though, it's pretty typical South Philly Italian at both.
The food at Victor Cafe is totally forgettable, standard-issue Italian American food that you can get at any number of other, better places. L'Angolo is much better.
