Hi, my dad and I try to find new hole in the wall restaurants to visit and try. If any of you out there have any suggestions that would be great. Thanks for your help, -bmac123

Le's Vietnamese Restaurant, 980 Main St, East Hartford

Kien Oriental Market, Park Rd., Hartford

Note: Le's is an actual sit-down restaurant (not fancy); Kien is definitely a hole in the wall JOINT with counter seating at the back of the store. Both delicious!

More info on both places here:

ETA: How far from Hartford are you willing to travel? Lots of possibilities may open up depending on your answer.

A little out of the way, but I highly recommend Pucci's on Highland Avenue (Town Plot section) in Waterbury. It's a tiny place - five or six tables - and BYOB. The food is Italian and excellent. Our group of seven last Saturday had everything from pizza to pasta dishes to chicken and veal. Everyone loved the food, and the bill was $140.

You might want to post this on the southern New England board. More likely to get answers there than here.
