Hi everyone

I am heading north to north Cumbria with my parents and 2 young children (3 and 6 yrs) and am looking for places to eat and shop for food. Any advice? I've seen several posts but they are around the Ambleside area whereas I will be nearer Maryport. Trying to avoid driving too much. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

No reccs, I'm afraid but this may help:

    http://www.tastecumbria.com/

As everywhere in the country the Big Barn website is probably the easiest pointer to foody retailers, etc in a given area
