Jerry's Bar in NoLibs

Has anyone been for dinner or brunch? I loved Cafe Estelle and see the shirred eggs on the menu for brunch at Jerry's. But it doesn't look as exciting/interesting as Estelle menu.

    It's AWESOME.

For brunch, I had a bloody mary (SO good), the sticky bun and the eggs jerry. I can't wait to try the stuffed french toast.

For dinner, get a glass of the buttery petit chablis and start with the pierogi. All of the entrees are awesome -- pork milanese, bouillabaisse, smoked trout, steak frites, etc.

Great beer and wine list, friendly staff, great atmosphere.

Agreed, it's great for brunch. I am ridiculously excited to have Marshall and his scrapple back in my life again. Can't wait to try dinner.

I tried dinner, it was not so great. I had the pierogies and steak frites, the frites were cold and the pierogies were nothing special. The steak was cooked and served as 3 separate pieces, I've never seen that before and didn't like it very much. I don't know if they were just down to their last morsels of steak for the day or what but when I order steak frites I expect to see one steak on the plate, not 3 baby steaks, with 3x the medium-well exterior and less medium-rare interior.

Yikes. What time was dinner? The steak frites sounds like a lazy kitchen trying to use up stuff laying around.

Early, actually, I think we got there around 6:30 or so.

Uh, what? That is terrible! Thanks for this info, too!

I wouldn't go so far as to call it terrible, it was just the same type of thing I can get a better version of at many other places for the same (or less) money. The steak really let me down partly because I had a craving for steak frites after reading the steak frites thread, but when it arrived it was too cold to actually melt the herb butter served with it. I did like the pea soup.
