Pairing help......

Kicking off the Hollywood Bowl season this week (one of my favorite times of year). As usual, my friend cooks and I pair. Have the appetizers matched with a nice Cold Heaven viognier. But I'm trying to figure out the main course. It's a tortilla with ham and potato, topped with garlic cherry tomatoes. I think there's a side dish with white beans. I wanted to do a red. Thought maybe a grenache....but now I'm not sure.

      I would have done that...but one of the folks in the box told me last season that he's not really a fan of sparkling wines. So I have to avoid that this time.

        Still rose works, still.

        Ham and cherry tomatoes practically scream for it.

          Thanks. That does sound like the best choice. And the weather here is heating up...so it will be really refreshing. I have a couple of bottles of the Miraval I've been wanting to try. Has anyone tasted it?

    2. Kabinett Riesling is my favorite overall match to your tortilla here... add a few sprinkles of grated emmental to the tortilla to bring it to the wine and create a truly sensational food & wine match... enjoy.
