Looking for recommendations for New Years Eve!

My husband and I are planning on spending New Years Eve in NO ! We rarely travel during this time but have some unexpected time off so we're heading to the FQ for 6 nights.

I'd love to nail down a place for dinner and make reservations for NYE ASAP but I really have no idea where to go!

Price: Not really a factor
Location: I would say no more than 15 min from FQ (no car but have no problems taking a taxi)
Food: My husband is not a foodie, loves a good steak but does NOT eat any kind of seafood (the horror!) I, on the other hand, love seafood and steak and am an adventurous eater but I don't eat any gluten as I have celiac disease. We do both love to drink though!!

We spent a week in NO's a few years ago. Ate at the following restaurants; Irene's, Mr. B's, Domenica, NOLA, and a few others I can't recall at the moment.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Oh, to have such foresight, bingcherry! Getting a headstart on NYE, good for you. I'm heading to Herbsaint tonite, occurs to me that you'd be hard-pressed to beat it. Plus you can walk the excess off in a straight shot down St. Charles as it turns into Royal Street once you cross Canal. Rest assured, the options are many. Have fun!

I agree that it is almost never too early to plan for dinner in NOLA, for a holiday weekend.

      Two that we love:

Restaurant August - Chef John Besh, just across Canal from the FQ, in the CBD (Central Business District)
The Grill Room - Windsor Court Hotel, even closer to the FQ, though in the CBD.

      Most of all, enjoy!
