Vegetarian places near UNLV

Hi I'll be attending meetings at the University of Las Vegas, (staying at the Hyatt) are there any veg places nearby? I don't have a car, so I'd love anything within walking or bus distance of either location. Dumps or nice places are equally welcome as long as the food is good!

  1. Need it be totally vegetarian?

    1. Do you mean the University of Nevada, Las Vegas? If so? Paymons would be a good choice. Depending on what part of the campus you're on you can walk there. If not, it's a very short bus ride.

Oops yes, University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Sorry. I'll take any place that serves veg food it doesn't have to be veg only. I really appreciate your replies.

Paymons has a lot of vegetarian items on the menu.

Gandhi Indian Cuisine has an extensive vegetarian selection. It is not the world's best Indian food, but Las Vegas isn't a great town for Indian, an the food is decent. At lunchtime, most people order the buffet, which includes several vegetarian options and bread, raita, etc.

is there any kind of food that Las Vegas is known for, maybe I can get a veg option. I love good Indian food but I fear this may be full of ghee, fried stuff, I don't think it's wise for me to eat rich food like that in the intense heat...

Jason's Deli is a very short bus ride from UNLV. They have three vegetarian soups, vegetarian salad bar and a meatless sandwich section.

Jason's gosh that's very helpful, soup, sandwich, healthy light food, I'm not a pizza eating vegetarian;-)
