What are some good and relatively inexpensive lunch places in Manhattan?

I live close to the city and go there quite often. However, I always find myself not knowing where to get a good lunch. I usually visit the West Village, SoHo, Chelsea, and Midtown. I'm open to pretty much any kind of food. I'm looking for restaurants that don't require a reservation and I can just stop in before or after walking around these areas. Also- A place where the dress is casual.

Thanks in advance for your help!

What your budget? $15 before tax and tip? $20? $25?

Is this for a weekday or a weekend?

Have you looked at MidtownLunch.com and RealCheapEats.com already?

    Some ideas:
    Spotted Pig
    Kin Shop
    Pearl Oyster Bar
    Joseph Leonard

Your parameters are pretty open... Hard to make recommendations without knowing more about how much you want to spend. Maybe favorite cuisines/foods?

I am very open minded about food. Some of my favorite cuisines include: japanese, thai, vietnamese, mexican, american, etc. But I will really eat any type of food as long as it's tasty!

Can you give a price point of what you expect to pay for food, before drinks, tax, and tip? There are literally thousands of restaurant that meet your requirements.

I'm under 21 so no drinks. $15-$20 preferably.
