Baker St./Marylebone for Tonight (London)

zuriga1 Jul 3, 2013 12:47 AM

Any suggestions for a place we can walk into tonight without a booking? I know the usual suspects... wonder if anyone has eaten at the Argentinian place, Zoilo.

I remember someone once mentioning a small, French restaurant near Baker St. Tube, but I can't find the name.

Thanks for any help.

    Galvin is on Baker Street.

You could always goto Relais de Venice -- no reservations but likely have to wait.

The venerable Soho Japan has also relocated to 195 Baker St, just opposite the tube station.

Is/was a good little Japanese all-rounder when it was in Fitzrovia. Notable to the grilled salmon belly. You should be able to get a walk-in.

Also try new Southwestern US joint The Lockhart, just along from Donostia.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll send my son to Soho Japan when he visits soon. My husband lived in Japan many years and rarely wants to eat Japanese food these days.
