Pink Curing Salt or sodium nitrite source in Mexico City?

JulietInDF Jul 2, 2013 01:22 PM

I want to start making corned beef from scratch and am looking for a source in Mexico City for pink curing salt or sodium nitrite. Does anyone have any advice for me?

It's easy enough to find online, but I will need a lot of it on a regular basis and also my postman hates me, so I never get my packages.
(I forgot to pay him two years in a row on Dia del Cartero) lol!

I would start looking in and around Mercado San Juan, for example, Molinera El Progreso, on Arandas, 26-bis, Centro. Perhaps they or some establishment in the MSJ can give you a lead.

Cool - thank you! I will check it out this week.

....and it's a great excuse to hit up the cheese counter at MSJ.
