Recommendations on a QUALITY 36" Dual Fuel range
I'm one appliance away (well two if you include the range hood) from having all the essentials purchased for our kitchen remodel but the range is that last component and it's a real chore deciding.
I have read countless reviews, opinions, forums etc.... on this topic and it seems like a really mixed bag of results. I'd prefer to stay in the lower cost bracket of a dual fuel range but would and could go as high as $5k. The thing that concerns me is even reading about serious high end units I see a lot of talk about costly repairs down the road. I couldn't imagine spending $8k+ on a range and getting a lemon!
So some of the models I've looked at where the Bertazoni, GE Monogram (although I was told these normally go for well over $5k for dual fuel units), and the Viking D3 series (read that the line was only around for a year??).
Are these high end ranges really prone to things like circuit boards frying, igniters going bad, and even having the plastic knobs melting over time?
