We will be in Sicily in mid October. We think we will be in Taormina, Siracusa and Agrigiento. Would love you advise on the itinerary as well as suggestions on where to eat.

Sounds lovely! At least it won't be too hot, although things will start to close down at the end of the season. I might be able to suggest some great places (Modica for instance, for Baroque craziness and its unique chocolate). How long will you be staying?

We will be in Sicily about 9 days. Start in Taormina for a couple. Then drive to Sicacusa for another 2-3 days and then onto Agrigento for a couple. Our last day we will drive to Catania. It has been recommended that we stop in Enna on the way. Any suggestions would be welcomed and of course any restaurants much appreciated.

The Gola di Alcantara nr Taormina is pretty spectacular, and shouldn't be crowded in Oct. Head up to Castelmola above Taormina for the Trattoria Chicchirichi- wonderful!

Siracusa will be just great in October. Suggest driving to Agrigento via Palazzolo Acreide, Modica and Ragusa, all spectacular baroque.. and Palazzolo has an intriguing archaeology zone. And of course Modica for chocolate at the Antico Dolceria Bonajuto.

Locanda di Terra in Agrigento is excellent. And yes, Enna is well worth a stop.. Frederick's tower on top a must see. Not many good restaurants there. We ate at a bad one but were told we should have gone to La Rustica. The motorway will get you back quickly to Catania.
