The Gallery cafe (art gallery) is a great lunch spot in the summer. Nice patio, and while maybe not spectacular food, it is quite decent.

Near Yaletown. But can also go anywhere in the city.

Well, this inevitably brings out some of the cliche'd touristy spots, but for good reasons (scenic locales, patio seating, people-watching):

Provence Marinaside (north side of False Creek)

The Mill Marine Bistro & Bar

            La Terrazza

The Galley Patio & Grill (Jericho Beach, upstairs of Jericho Sailing Center building)

The Flying Beaver Bar & Grill (Sea Island (aka airport island), south terminal)

I should have pointed out Galley Patio & Grill is casual fare (plastic deck tables & chairs on the patio), cafeteria-style order at kitchen and they call your # for food pick-up. Food is alright in my books for the price and genre:
