My In-laws are celebrating their 50th Anniversary. We want to take them out to a good restaurant -- one worthy of a 50th.

Here are the specs:

We are in the Clear Lake area (near NASA-JSC). So we would like something in SE Houston/Galveston.

My father-in-law would like steak.

My mother-in-law is not terribly adventurous (forget Thai or South American steak).

They want a q.u.i.e.t restaurant -- and comfortable.

They would like a view of the sea, lake, or bay.

Not too avante garde (My father-in-law sat through a Bob Hope service show -- in WWII!)

Oh yeah, good food, too.

Can anyone help us?

I think Villa Capri would fit the bill. View of lake, nice atmosphere, good food. I believe it is owned by the same people that own Frenchies on nasa rd.
