SF Dish of the Month (July 2013) - Voting

Here are the candidates for SF Dish of the Month July 2013.

Everyone is welcome to vote once by pressing the recommend button for the dish you'd like to choose. You can vote even if you didn't participate in the voting round, but make sure you only recommend one choice (you can change your mind up until the deadline).

I narrowed the nominations down to the following based on what seemed most popular....but if there's something else you'd like to be on the ballot, you can write it in, and then others can vote using the recommend button. If you write something in, that will be considered your one vote.

Voting will be open until June 30th at 10 PM PDT

                  1. I saw that the person who nominated falafel actually suggested (not in caps) a "combo"--i.e. hummus/falafel--makes me think of baba ganoush and more--a thought: we could combine hummus et. al. into one item and call it MIDDLE EASTERN STREET FOOD? Given the relative paucity of places that offer such fare in the Bay Area, expanding it could make it a more interesting DOTM. But if this is so much messing with something that ain't broke, happy to back up to the original notion of individual items.

Looks like hummus is the winner, and I think it might be easier to just stick to that. However, don't let that stop you from also trying baba ghanoush and falafel when you are at places that have all of these!

                      1. Sorry for the slightly late start, but here's the new Dish of the Month. Happy one-year anniversary to my fellow participants!!!

                        This month is HUMMUS!
