New restaurant developments in the last year?

Portland native here. I'm moving back home next week after a hellish one year hiatus down in Killeen, Texas (the seventh circle of hell) and I'm wondering if I've missed any big developments in the local food scene while I was gone. Is there any must-try restaurants or food carts that opened up in my absence? Or any previously good places that have gone downhill? I am chomping at the bit to return to a place where people don't regard Red Lobster as fine dining.

The Eater Heatmap shows the latest "in" restaurant opening but updates it every month so you have to search backward to find everything for the passed year. A lot if new places have opened in the passed year so it will be worth the search. This is a link to the most recent

Thank you! I'll definitely do a thorough search.

Park at Division and 39th and start your food safari down the blocks. It is exploding with new, great, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, wine shops, wineries and more.

You can't go wrong with division street, it is amazing how much is going on around here. Also check out Alberta as it is always changing.
