Prime Meats, Saul, or Buttermilk Channel?

I want to get a gift cerificate as a 10th Anniversary gift for a mid-30's couple.
One person in the couple is not a really adventurous eater.
Which of the three restaurants I'm considering would you suggest? Also, if there is some other place in the Carroll Gardens/Cobble Hill area, I'm open for other sugestions.

  1. Saul is a Michelin star fine dining restaurant. Your unadventurous friend might have a problem there.

The other two are nice neighborhood places where your friend will find lots of things they like. I'd look at the menus and pick whichever you think would appeal the most.

      That's a fair point...

as much as I love Buttermilk Channel, I find the food more impressive at Prime Meats. They do conventional dishes amazingly well - I think it'd be perfect for your unadventurous eater friend.

Of the 3, I agree on Prime Meats as well

Saul closed a few days back and will be reopening within the Brooklyn Museum later this year, another reason Prime Meats is likely the better choice

    2. I haven't been to Buttermilk Channel for about a year, but I think there are more (pleasant) surprises on the menu than at Prime Meats. Take a look at the respective menus--you won't go wrong at any of those places.

Also at Buttermilk Channel, a new cocktail ripped from the headlines—the Carlos Danger. Share one with an online friend ...

      2. Thanks for all the feedback.
I did get a gift card for Prime Meats. Appreciate all your help.
