Sunday lunch, not brunch, between Worcester & Newton?

Hi Chowhounders. I'm looking for some help with an area I am not familiar with. I'm meeting up with friends for a leisurely afternoon meal and drinks on Sunday. If possible with outdoor seating. Restrictions would be no Asian cuisine and not predominately seafood. My friends are on a budget, so a place with entrees between $10-$20 would be helpful.

I was thinking of Natick or Framingham, but I've only been finding chains near the Natick Mall or good reviews of various Asian restaurants. Both parties are driving, so we have some flexibility with location. Can you help me out with some suggestions?

My suggestion is Sel de la Terre in the Natick Mall. Even though their menu for Sunday says "brunch", it is much more of a lunch menu with a couple of brunch options. Check it out: http://www.seldelaterre.com/natick/me...

Armsby Abbey in Worcester does a killer brunch. Plated meals, no buffet. Locally sourced ingredients and unusual cocktails. Only drawbacks are limited outdoor seating, sharing with the crowd, and the bill could grow beyond your budget as you want to try everything.

Oh my gosh! That brunch menu looks amazing. I'm looking for something a bit closer to Newton for this weekend, but Armsby Abbey is definitely going on my must try list in the future. Thanks!

how about Stone's Public House in Ashland - only a few miles off Route 9, or down rte 135 from Framingham Center - great sheltered outdoor patio and varied menu.

Second Stone's, but it's brunch till 3. Same with Tomasso in Southboro.
Not sure about El Basha in Westboro.

Thanks for the recommendation. I will see if our companions will want to eat brunch after 1pm. We tend to be early risers, so it would probably be a second breakfast. :-)

I think Harry's in Westborough would work. Super casual though if that matters.
