Nevada lettuce

Anyone else grow this? This is my first time growing it. It is supposed to stand up to the heat better and resist bolting. So far so good. It makes a beautiful head, pretty enough to grow for decoration. Great taste, just a hint of bitterness. Great for salads or on sandwiches, really good in "kilt lettuce" as my Grandmother called salad made with hot bacon drippings.

I used the cut-and-come-again method, so mine never made it to a complete head. (And I was growing it in a shady spot, so it might not have formed one anyway.)

So did it do well in the heat of high summer? I have mine planted between 2 rows of okra, but the okra has been so slow to get going that it's not providing any shade as yet.
