The Heights: Chinese?
Our go-to for ordering in Chinese is Golden Wok (Heights-adjacent, in the Oak Forest/Garden Oaks area). The food is good, but I've never been to the restaurant, so can't vouch for that experience. If Eastern Chinese is the place I'm thinking of, the food is good but they do not deliver, and normally when we're looking for Chinese food in the neighborhood it's a last-minute desperation delivery situation. :)
I'm not sure where everyone went.
My paranoia tells me they're all at a feast somewhere...
And I wasn't invited!
Sorry, but I don't know the Heights well. Ask me where to get fried chicken, vegetables, cheese or tamales, and I can help.
Here's a link to B4UEAT that is cross referenced with Chinese and Heights.
I have never been to any of them, but others have and their reviews are on that site. I hope this helps.
Also, please come back and let us know what you tried and how you liked it. (You know - for next time.)
re: James Cristinian
I stopped in there once. It was average. The menu is vast. I also went to a place recommended by a chef in town in the "Where the Chefs Eat" feature of the Houston Press, and found it unimpressive. Flying Dragon on 18th. Antoine Ware of Hay Merchant likes the beef and broccoli, but since I don't like that dish I ordered something else. Something not memorable.
