  1. Premiers at 10PM tonight.

    Go Jason & Nick!!!

    1. Anybody watching? I think tonight is the 2nd to last episode, with 3 chefs remaining (+1 who won the online Last Chance Kitchen getting back on), and one those is Philly's Nicholas Elmi.

I've been watching. Quite honestly Jason came off as an arrogant prick and was quickly eliminated (2nd or 3rd episode I believe).

Nicholas came off much better in the first half of the season (and was very impressive in the Restaurant Wars episode). Unfortunately he's been sliding ever since and has been at the bottom the last few episodes. He just barely squeaked into the finals. And he's been getting the whiny edit the second half of the season.

If you're interested, the Food Media & News board has recaps of each episode. The threads are long, but the OP recaps are pretty thorough, so they're all you really need to read.

Don't you love reality TV (the only reality TV I can tolerate is the cooking shows)? Having met both of them many times, they've always seemed like nice guys. Of course, I'm a customer, and haven't worked for/with them.

Yep. If you read the FM&N threads it's clear reality viewers are two camps: those who believe everything they see and those who realize reality is heavily edited by the Magical Elves (the production company behind Top Chef).

Top Chef is the only reality show I've ever watched, so I can't say if the editing is more or less heavy handed than the average. But I imagine if I was living with a house full of strangers for two months in the heat of a New Orleans summer while engaging in ridiculously difficult challenges, I'd be pretty whiny/ornery too (and I'm generally such a sweetheart ;)

      2. So now it's down to two. Will Nick win?

He might, they both have 3 wins. But Nina has been more consistent and finished in the top group more than Nick (8-2).
