In a Pickle, Waltham

Don't think I've read anything about this place on this board. Heading here for the first time Monday morning. Lots of things on the menu appeal to me, particularly the Caramel french toast and the coconut, chocolate chip pancakes (may be banana in there somewhere too!) I'd love to hear about your visit and experience to help me focus. I tend to go sweet, not savory for breakfast. Thanks.

It's a serviceable place. Won't blow your socks off, but it is fine.

Agree with science chick. I tend to steer clear of things loaded up with whipped cream and stuff, but I found their basic waffles to be quite respectable (though you need to order real maple syrup). They have a bunch of creations built on top of those to choose from. Pancakes are fine but not great.

aw, disappointed with the reviews but will give it a try. I tend to pass on multi- layered anything and whipped cream at breakfast so I'll go understated tomorrow. thanks!

They do great omelettes. And the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. Also try their buckwheat waffles - loaded.
