Dinner ideas in Baltimore for 4th of July?

jammytoast Jun 20, 2013 07:36 PM

Hub and I have a rather rare few days with the kids and had thoughts of a nice dinner that could end with the fireworks. We do a lot of picnics/grilling/baseball dinners normally, so am leaning away from the traditional "4th foods".

Initial thoughts are McCormick and Schmicks (reliable, a bit boring, but likely a good view), Wit and Wisdom (ruled out due to their $75 cover that doesn't include drinks and no reservations taken) and the Mr Rain's funhouse at the AVAM (may have issues parking). Perhaps Waterfront Kitchen in Fells? Haven't been on that side of town in eons, and the view looks great.

Favorite spots in town for comparison sake are Woodberry Kitchen, Jacks bistro, Fork and Wrench. Good beer a plus....

Ryleighs Oyster House and then head up hill to Fort McHenry.

Or to Langemanns in Fed Hill, that has good food and an under $30 July 4th menu

Yep. The lobster rolls are killer.
