Dinner Stop on Way to OBX from DC?

Hi! We're driving to Duck (OBX) from DC tonight, and would love a recommendation for a good place to stop for dinner along the way. Our route - which I assume is the usual route for this trip? We've never done it before, just following Google's instructions - takes us along the outskirts of Richmond, through Newport News and Norfolk. Something on the quicker/cheaper side would be great, not looking for anything fancy. Just yummy. Thanks in advance!

  1. While you're in Duck, stop by Blue Point for really tasty meals. I have worked with the chef there before and his food is always amazing. There are other places in Duck that have really great food as well. Enjoy the OBX!! On the way back to DC, stop by the BBQ pit off 64 in Williamsburg near the Great wolf lodge for good BBQ, it's quick, easy and pretty tasty.

    1. You might want to try Honey Butter's Kitchen in Williamsburg VA. I havent eaten there but HAVE eaten at it's sister restaurant the 5 forks cafe. Id recommend that cafe but it is only open until 3 PM.

Honey Butter's Kitchen is closed on Monday FYI.

If you want breakfast for dinner, We also found that the place called "Belgian Waffle & Steakhouse" on the outskirts of Newport News is, while not gourmet, had decent solid breakfast fare, quick service. and was fairly easy on and off I64.
