Ladies' lunch Naples on 5th?

NYchowcook Jun 20, 2013 12:52 PM

I'll be meeting two old friends in Naples for lunch next week and would love hounds' recommendations. A superb kitchen with seafood, perhaps Continental/ New American with pizazz. Outdoor seating or view, comfy and place we can hang without being rushed. YIA

Sea Salt is more of an Italian bent but they have very good seafood, especially if they have grilled whole fish, and outdoor seating.

Fifth Ave is not really a great lunch destination. Third Ave is better. Agree with Sea Salt as an option and worth considering is Campiello which is right across the street. My major gripe with Sea Salt is inconsistency. I have had great meals there and lousy meals there. I do not like feeling that a meal at those price points should be a roll of the dice.

Another consideration with a venue that is great is Gumbo Limbo at the Ritz beach resort. It is right on the beach. Rec. check menu online to see if it is what you are looking for. Enjoy!

My best recommendation for the ladies who lunch and I am one!
Not on 5th but Venetian Village is a good shopping area with charm.
