Looking for restaurant recommendations for Road Trip from Portland, OR to San Francisco, CA

My husband, 8 year old daughter and 2 year old son and I are going to embark on a (round trip) road trip down to SF (from Portland) soon. We are going to stay in Yreka on the way down and on the way back.

I wonder if anyone could recommend any must visit restaurants along the way? In Eugene? Ashland? Mt. Shasta? ???

Hoping for kid friendly, and not expensive.

Thanks!

    First off, why Yreka?
Hamburgers and fries, vegetarian, or more adventurous?
    When are you leaving P-town?

Yreka only because we got a deal on the Holiday Inn Express there. We stayed there before and it was just easy with the kids.

Vegetarian is not necessary but healthy options would be appreciated. Adventurous is good if there are some rather unadventurous options for kids (ie rice, meat, pasta, beans).

There was a restaurant in Ashland we went to Green...something or other, that was good. Trying to remember the name of it, but just generally, just wanting some good suggestions.

We are leaving PDX on June 30 and leaving SF on July 8.

Hi Zoe, Greenleaf is the place you are thinking of.
Here's a list of RV stuff I assembled for fun:

Let me jot down some ideas and I'll get back to you.

Tot is wonderful, right near the coop. And I'm hooked on just about everything from coffee to ice cream to cookies and sandwiches at Mix.

There's a Laotian BBQ in Weed directly opposite the main gate. Definitely worth a stop. Run by a very friendly couple.
