Any suggestions for stores carrying za'atar in the Providence or Attleboro area, or do I have to go the online route?
I was able to get za'atar at Shaws. It was in the middle-eastern-cuisine aisle. It's probably not the great stuff, but it's good enough for me!
My Whole Foods carries it pre-blended, as well as carrying the individual spice components that make up za'atar (sumac is usually the only tricky one to find).
I've seen it at Sonia's Near East market in Cranston, just south of Providence. http://www.soniasdeli.com/market.php
