Food trucks in the hinterlands

There does not appear to be a listing or general discussion of food trucks closer to 128 than to Boston. It's probably a short list. Offhand I can't think of much other than Fred's Franks in Wakefield and the itinerant strawberry truck that stationed itself in rotating Woburn locations when I worked there until 2007. I don't know if he's still around. I recently noticed Tijuana Trolley in North Billerica but know nothing about it, and have heard good things about Marko's Mediterranean Grill in Lowell.

Anything else?

  1. Tenoch from Medford has a truck up in Burlington.. and I occasionally hit up Smokin' Dogs on Middlesex turnpike when he's there.. not really a truck, more like a covered trailer with a big green egg.

Where is the Tenoch truck in Burlington parked and if you know hours, I'd appreciate it.

    2. There is the blue ribbon truck in needham, fireflies in their parking lot for lunch, phil's old fashioned bbq in milford, nh for very good briskett.

Grant cook and lc02139, I realize I should have asked for locations, and included them as well.

Fred's Franks is on the shores of Lake Quonapowett(sp?) off
the 128 exit (go around the 129 rotary). The produce truck in Woburn was parked at the Library on Saturdays and there was another one sometimes at the parking lot on the southern shore of Horn Pond. I noticed Tijuana Trolley at the Habitat for Humanity parking lot on 3A, near CVS. Marko's is on Appleton St. near the Owl Diner.

the stwberry truck is on Washington St Woburn between Montvale Ave and Gingerbread Muffin. never have bought from him.

      2. Larry Joe's New England Fire Pit sets up at Westwood Lumber on rt 140 in Mendon. He's a Speed alum and does it exactly as he was taught. Good trip for a car, great for a motorcycle. Tues-Sat, 11:30- 6.
Snappy Dogs in Hopkinton behind Colella's Market, not bad.
Yummies for lobster rolls. Saw em at the Ashland Farmers Mkt yesterday.

        1. Fred's Franks is still at the usual location right of Rte95/128 at the Rte 129 Wakefield exit. Still serving delicious hot dogs, a variety of sausages, kielbasa and linguisa all charcoal grilled to order.

          1. Cap't Marden's had previously parked it's Cod Squad truck on Washington St. in Wellesley, but the town essentially banned 'em. So, no trucks in Wellesley. I miss the burrito truck that used to park in Needham...
