Is there an upscale restaurant worth mentioning near Center Valley Pa?
One possibility is Glassbern. Are there any others?

You should probably ask this on the PA board as well, that's pretty far away from Philly. I've been to Glasbern, it was very good but that was quite a few years ago.

Yes, PA board may yield more recs. Bolete has been touted as very good, we have found it so on occasion but sadly also very disappointing on other visits. If you visit on a good day you will be please with the food and service and happy to pay the price, which for that area is relatively high. As we have to travel to dine there we have crossed it off our list because of spotty experiences. However, if we are close by we will always give it another try.

Yes Bacchus, Bolete was a big disappointment for us as well.
I hope others from outisde of the Philly board will see this post and respond. So far only Philly people have responded.

Melt in the Promenade Shoppes I really enjoy. It is pricey but the service is always excellent. There are people on these boards that do not feel the same as me.

The Glasbern is excellent but it is about a half hour from Center Valley. Some people complain it is only prix fixe on the weekend with more limited choices but the choices are always excellent.

My current recommendation would be Cosmopolitan in downtown Allentown. Free Valet parking gets you past the issue of it being downtown.

If you want to stay in Center Valley and price is not an issue you can go to Shula's or if you prefer Asian, go to Kome and for Thai go to White Orchid.

There are several other great restaurants throughout the Lehigh Valley from Easton through Bethlehem and Allentown and the suburbs beyond.

Cosmopolitan's menu looked good to me and when we are in the area we will certainly consider it, but we have decided to do Glasbern as it is on the way back home.

You will enjoy the Glasbern. We have been there quite a few times and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. I have also gotten great feedback over the years as I have put professional employees I was recruiting up at the Inn.
