Best Pudding in Westchester/Rockland/Putnam (Have pudding, will travel!)

Sra. Swanky Jun 13, 2013 08:52 AM

Just was treated to the awesome chocolate pudding at City Limits in White Plains, and I'm already craving more! Any leads on where to find more great versions of my favorite form of dessert?

It doesn't have to be chocolate pudding. Any kind - butterscotch, tapioca, vanilla, banana, lemon -- I'm all ears...er...eyes! ;)

The last time we were at Q in Port Chester, they had fabulous banana pudding. It was a while ago, but you can call and see what they have available each day. Back then, the desserts were not house-made but brought in daily from another source. Not sure if they still do that.

Thanks! Always in the mood for banana pudding - especially if it's studded with Nilla wafers in it.

Yes, it did! It really exceeded expectations.

I'm going to keep a close eye on this thread.

The butterscotch pudding at H20 (or whatever that place on the Hudson in Yonkers is called.. Friday brain at work) was pretty dynomite - wonder if you can get it with a light dinner at the bar?

X2O has butterscotch? I have to look into this too! Maybe they also have it at Restaurant X in Rockland. I'll check - Thank you!

May be a seasonal thing, so call ahead. Spouse's birthday is in February.

Costco sells a killer banana pudding. Nilla wafers and all.

The chocolate or key lime pudding cups @ Susan Lawrence are quite decadent. http://www.susanlawrence.com/home/

Must admit I never had banana pudding until trying it at
Buttercup Bakeshop in White Plains--it's really yummy and has vanilla wafers in it. They sell it in big bowls or individual portions.

I love the pudding at Sweet Sugar Sunshine bakery in the city - so nice to know there's a place just like it that's so much closer! Great to know - thanks!

Just gave the banana pudding at Sherry B Dessert Studio in Chappaqua another try. Very good. Just a bit tiny portion-wise.

360 American Grille in Mamaroneck has really good chocolate pudding.

What a great recipe. Makes enough for a crowd too. (Not that I'll need one - my DH and I would probably polish it off between us with no problem!) Now I have to go out and get a strainer because I really want to make this! Thanks!
