Best restaurant open on a Monday?

w

Finally have a chance to have a nice meal, but Monday night is the only chance I'll have. All the places I wanted to try (Edulis, Shoto, Actinolite, Woodlot, Beast, etc) are all closed on Mondays. Right now I have Enoteca Sociale looks like the "best" I can find, but I'd prefer something not Italian.

I know Acadia and Yours Truly are open Mondays, but I've been to both and would strongly prefer a new place. Thanks!

Scaramouche would get my vote for the best restaurant open on a Monday. The Pasta Bar is a little more economical.

Starfish, Cava, Pizzeria Libretto Danforth, Tabule, Nota Bene, The Saint, Buca, Jacobs, Yuzu and Bestellen are open Mondays, and take reservations through www.opentable.com .

Forgot to mention I prefer reservations :)

Don't know if they take reservations, but Chantecler is open on Mondays, and so is Electric Mud, which definitely does not take reservations.

I thought Chantecler was more for the tasting? If the regular menu is decent I wouldn't mind there, every review and comment seems to talk about their amazing tasting though.

I'm pretty sure the regular menu at Chantecler is lettuce wraps and a few sides only.

The tasting menu is booked solid through end of August.

I thought lettuce wraps was on Sundays.

It's every day now. Since the new year, actually.

I think you could do better for a Monday night. Maybe Bar Isabel? Though it's harder to do if you're solo.

I'll be going with another person and Bar Isabel sounds really good actually, thanks for the suggestion!

Food at Hawker Bar is on aggregate so-so, would not go strictly for the food. Would go strictly for a quieter evening after midnight.

Bar Isabel has some meh dishes... but get the whole fish ceviche. It's on ANOTHER planet (meaning it is very good).

A friend and I split it and we DEVOURED the whole thing. The waitress was shocked. Asked us if we wanted to make a necklace out of the bones.

                I haven't been in a while either, so unfortunately I can't say.

Bar Isabel no question. Ceviche, blood sausage, crab legs.

Yeah that's right, the blood sausage was pppphhhenomenal as well! Worth ordering two on the side or something from the snacks menu.

On that note, the deviled eggs with blood sausage are amazing as well.
