We will be spending a few days in the North Georgia Mountains this fall. Specifically, around Dahlonega. I apologize if I missed something, but I did not find any prior threads on this area. Does anyone have recommendations for good places to eat? Price is not important, and we enjoy holes in the wall just as much as top end places. We also eat all kinds of ethnic food, although I doubt that part of the world is overflowing with great ethnic options. Thanks for any help you can provide.

We were there a couple of years ago to visit friends. I'll have to ask what restaurants we went to. But, I do remember going to lunch on Sunday at Wolf Mountain Vineyards & Winery. Absolutely breathtaking & the food is excellent.

Thanks Cloebell. We were thinking of Wolf Mountain Vineyard and Monteluce.

FWIW, it's Montaluce. Guess they couldn't spell in Eye-talian. We've had a couple of really good meals there, even though the whole thing is kinda goofy (CA-esque winery with show-cask room plus video; built in a faux Italian subdivision that just barely got started pre crash).

Wolf Mtn was also nice, as is Frogtown. 3 Sisters is tiny but I enjoyed chatting with them.

Maybe check yelp or tripadvisor for places in Clayton. The last time I was up there it had really grown from when I was a kid.

Also check out Glen-Ella Springs. Never been there but I think we are going to try it next month. Kind of a haul from Dahlonega but if you are driving around or are the driving sort it might be an option.
