Cooking red orach?

I just was given a bunch of red orach. The leaves are BITTER! Does anyone have experience cooking this plant?

    I've grown it in the garden for the past two years. Mine has just a touch of tartness, not bitter.

    I put it (raw) in salads, or cook it like (or with) spinach.
