Does anyone know when the new location will be open?
If you're asking about 'Pomo Pizzeria...projected opening date for new Scottsdale location is the end of August; Downtown Phoenix location (east side of 1st St, between Washington and Adams) is now open.
On my way out of Cartel Coffee today, I realized that I had my Downtown Phoenix Neapolitan pizza places mixed up. La Piazza Locale (by the owners of Glendale's La Piazza al Forno) is going in on 1st Street between Adams and Washington and is slated to open this month.
'Pomo's shop (which is open now) is located in the space formerly occupied by Sens, on 1st St between Pierce and McKinley.
Sorry about the mix-up.
I suspect they'll be keeping typical lunch and dinner hours with maybe a Sunday-Monday break.
I should note that most Downtown/Downtown-adjacent places worth the effort of a trip or extended stop (e.g., Breadfruit, Blue Hound, Bianco, Cibo, Pomo, Nobuo, Welcome Diner) are open for dinner. The lunch-only places tend to serve unremarkable food, with longevity ensured by a large captive audience and fast service models. About the only places that don't stay open as late as I would like are the independent coffee shops.
