Nice business dinner around Wayne?

PhillyBestBYOB Jun 7, 2013 07:22 AM

We're putting up a visiting business colleague in the Wayne Hotel and would like to take him out to dinner at a nice restaurant (group of 8 on a Tuesday evening). Paramour in the Wayne Hotel is out, due to very poor service one of my coworkers recently experienced. I'd prefer to avoid Fleming's Steakhouse, since it is incredibly noisy in the main dining room, and I believe their private rooms require at least 20 people.

Any suggestions within 10-15 min drive of the Wayne Hotel (center of town on E Lancaster)?

How about George .. George Perrier's last restaurant. They have private dining, but I do not think a group that size would require it, just a reservation.

I thought about that, but I've never been and the reviews on Yelp are all over the place. Do you like it? Since I never hear anyone talking about it, it makes me wonder.

I like it from an atmosphere standpoint, the food is ok. It would be close and provide the experience folks would be looking for. That said, I prefer the food at Alba.

15 minutes west is Alba in Malvern.

And of course, the KOP mall is only 10 minutes away w/Capital Grille, Morton's, Ruth's Chris, etc.

How about the Silverspoon Cafe? http://www.silverspoonwayne.com/

Alba in Malvern will be more than 10-15 min drive time, especially on a weeknight. Rt 30 is a parking lot!!
