Kensington Circus 2013

  • 2

Walking by today, I noticed that they now serve breakfast on the weekends. The menu is a bit scattered, with a traditional British fry up, but also huevos rancheros. Then I noticed that the dinner menu also has dishes (kabobs, curry, something Chinese?) that I don't remember from the past. They don't seem to have a website, but I found a story from last year stating that the longtime owner had sold the place and was moving back to England to live on canal boat! Good for him.

So has anyone been to the Circus since the new owner took over?

  1. Recent visits last few months. Fish and chips, smaller order, both times. Fish moist but crust somewhat flabby and pieces seem too regular. Fries also could be crisper. Early dinner it's a great place for old folks who miss the noise of their grandkids.

Awww. Yeah, I remember the kids. I don't think I've been back since my son graduated nursery school. So, is that a downhill alert?

On a side note, the Colusa Market across the circle has had some good deals on organic produce lately. I bought some great cherries today. The oldish stuff right by the door sometimes is a very, very good deal.
