Between Annisa and Blue Hill ... which would you choose?

Never been to Annisa, and am very curious about the place.

Been about 2 (almost 3) years since I last visited Blue Hill.

Any thoughts?

  1. Yep. I'm a fan of Annisa, and in three tries, have never eaten anything memorable at Blue Hill. I find that BH uses fine ingredients but has little to add. BH bores me. Anita Lo's food is somehow both classic and whimsical, technically proficient but soulful. I haven't been to Annisa in a few years, though, although I've heard that if anything, it's been on an upswing lately.

    1. both places are nice but boring to me. i think annisa has a nicer room but thats about it.

I agree with this, but would add that it makes sense to me to go to the nice-but-boring restaurant you haven't been to yet over the nice-but-boring one you have.

Right with you there, but put Blue Hill a bit above Annisa though.

      2. I had one of The Best Chicken Dishes of my life at Annisa. And I never order chicken in restaurants -- in fact, this was my man's dish, I had ordered something else.

        Very creative and tasty.

I really like that chicken dish, too, FWIW. Best thing on the menu, I think.

        2. I don't get some of the comments above. I find Annisa to be creative, innovative and delicious. I have never been to Blue Hill, since the menu does not look especially creative.

          1. Annisa by a decent margin.
