Creme de mure?

Recently came across a drink called (B)ramble? and it calls for something called creme de mure. Long story short, can I sub Chambord for creme de mure?

  1. Yes, although a fresh bottle of Cassis or Framboise might be better. I happen to have just made this tonight with geriatric cassis. It was rather prune-like. It needs a vibrant berry flavor. :(

I found the standard recipe a touch sweet. I'd dial back the simple next time.

Made some last night and I agree; to sweet. I think the sweet needs to be cut in 1/2. I was hoping that it would be an addition to the summer line up of Gin & Tonic and Dark & Stormy. Something simple and quick to make. Maybe next time.
      Thanks for your help.
