Point Pleasant Girl! New Here!

Hi everybody! I'm Angela (also known as Big Angie) and I live in Point Pleasant. I'm a Sicilian girl, so I love to cook and I love to eat!

Does anyone know of any healthier options in my area? I love Italian food but I really need to lose some weight.

Anyway, nice to meet you all!

Yeah! Fish is always a good option.

A few of my local favorites:

      Joe Leone's
      Frankie's Bar & Grill
Joe Spano's Tomato Pies (BEST pizza!)
Hoffman's Ice Cream (I go here waaaay too often! lol)

      1. Pleased to meet you. Welcome.

        1. Like the other 'hounds, I too welcome you. As to healthy, there's a place called Local Urban Kitchen on the Brielle side of the River. http://localurbankitchen.com/

Foods pretty good if you wanna be good. My wife likes it and she has good taste (obviously, as she married me). I'm more of a pork roll guy at heart, but I do wanna go try their Eggs Benny* with the soft shell crab.

            1. Welcome! I agree with MGZ, LUK - http://www.localurbankitchen.com/ is my favorite. Great atmosphere, mission statement and awesome food. Definitely recommend checking them out for healthy eating in the area. It can be so hard with eating out and most of the time you don't even know where the food comes from. At LUK, they disclose all this information. :

Do you know any info about their ingredients? I know in Asian sauces, there can be a lot of sodium.
